Why this project exists
This is not just another medical facility.
The WLU Hospital Project begins with a hard truth: every year, thousands of Ugandans travel abroad for treatment that should be available right here at home. Families are separated, savings are wiped out, and lives are put at risk simply because specialist care is still too difficult to access locally.
WLU's answer is bold and direct. Build a modern, fully equipped specialist hospital on Ugandan soil, funded through the collective strength of ordinary Ugandans contributing through the 10K Project. The goal is not symbolism. The goal is capacity, dignity, and care that people can actually reach.
In this Vision, the hospital treats patients, keeps health spending in Uganda, creates highly skilled jobs, and gives the country a tangible proof point that community-led nation building can deliver infrastructure.
