These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the With Love Uganda website (withloveuganda.org) and all related digital services, including the member portal, registration flows, and online payment interactions. By using this website or registering as a member, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.

With Love Uganda ("WLU", "we", "us", or "our") is a registered non-governmental organisation operating under Ugandan law, headquartered at Old Kira Road, Plot 2269 Sserwadda Close. These Terms represent a binding agreement between you and WLU. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the website or register as a member.

For questions or concerns, contact us at withloveuganda@gmail.com or call +256 393 225 462.

1. Use of the website

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. By accessing withloveuganda.org, you agree to the following:

  • You will not use the website to transmit harmful, illegal, misleading, defamatory, or abusive content.
  • You will not attempt to access any part of the website or member portal that you are not authorised to use.
  • You will not use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to extract data from the website without prior written permission from WLU.
  • You will not impersonate WLU, its leadership, staff, partners, or other members in any communication or on any platform.
  • You will not interfere with or attempt to disrupt the security, functionality, or availability of the website or member portal.
  • You will not upload, distribute, or otherwise make available any malicious software, virus, or harmful code.

WLU reserves the right to restrict or terminate access to the website at any time, without notice, for any user who violates these Terms or engages in conduct that WLU deems harmful to its mission, members, or reputation.

2. Membership and registration

When you register as a WLU member, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age and a resident of Uganda, unless explicitly permitted otherwise. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information including your full legal name, national ID or passport number, date of birth, district of residence, and valid contact details.
  • Keep your login credentials strictly confidential and not share them with any third party under any circumstances.
  • Notify WLU immediately at withloveuganda@gmail.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.
  • Register only one account per individual. Multiple accounts per person are prohibited unless expressly authorised in writing by WLU.
  • Update your profile promptly if your contact details or personal information change.

WLU reserves the right to verify the identity of any member and to suspend or permanently terminate any account found to contain false, misleading, or unverifiable information. You will be solely responsible for any activity carried out under your account.

3. The 10K Project and contributions

Participation in the 10K Project involves making a minimum monthly contribution of UGX 10,000 through WLU's approved payment channels, which currently include MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money. By contributing, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Contributions are entirely voluntary and are made in full understanding of WLU's mission, values, and programme focus areas.
  • All contributions are pooled into WLU's programme fund and are not held as individual savings, investment accounts, or personal escrow on behalf of any member.
  • WLU does not guarantee specific financial returns, investment dividends, cash payouts, or fixed monetary benefits of any kind from participation in the 10K Project.
  • Benefits associated with membership are programme-based and communal in nature, as described on the Benefits page of the WLU website.
  • Refund or exit requests are subject to WLU's internal refund and exit policy, accessible through the member portal. Refunds are not automatically guaranteed and are processed at WLU's discretion.
  • WLU is not liable for failed mobile money transactions caused by network provider outages, incorrect payment references, or user error.

Members experiencing payment issues should contact the WLU office within 7 days of the transaction date. WLU may request supporting documentation such as a mobile money transaction receipt before processing any adjustments.

4. Member conduct and disciplinary process

WLU members are expected to uphold the values of the organisation — integrity, community, and service. The following conduct is prohibited and may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of membership:

  • Using WLU's name, branding, or platform to promote personal business ventures, pyramid schemes, or any form of fraudulent activity.
  • Harassing, threatening, or engaging in abusive communication with WLU staff, volunteers, or fellow members, whether on or off the platform.
  • Making false, defamatory, or damaging statements about WLU, its leadership, or its programmes in any public or private forum.
  • Recruiting other WLU members into competing organisations, programmes, or schemes in a manner that conflicts with WLU's interests.
  • Breaching the confidentiality of any internal WLU communications, member data, or financial information.

Where misconduct is alleged, WLU will notify the member in writing, provide an opportunity to respond within 14 days, and issue a decision thereafter. WLU's decision on disciplinary matters is final. Terminated members forfeit any non-vested programme benefits but retain rights to any amounts WLU is legally obligated to return under applicable law.

5. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including but not limited to text, images, photographs, logos, programme descriptions, design elements, video content, and branding assets — is owned by or licensed to With Love Uganda and is protected under applicable Ugandan and international intellectual property law.

You may not reproduce, distribute, republish, sell, rent, sub-license, or commercially exploit any WLU content without express written permission from WLU. Personal and educational sharing of WLU content is permitted, provided that:

  • WLU is clearly and prominently credited as the original source.
  • The content is not altered, misrepresented, or taken out of context.
  • No commercial gain is derived from the use of WLU's content.

To request permission for media, publication, or partnership use of WLU content, contact withloveuganda@gmail.com.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The WLU website and all its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While WLU takes reasonable care to ensure accuracy and reliability, we expressly disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including but not limited to:

  • The completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any information or content published on the website.
  • The uninterrupted, timely, or error-free availability of the website, member portal, or payment systems.
  • The fitness of any information on the website for a particular purpose or individual circumstance.
  • Freedom from viruses, malware, or other technically harmful material from third-party links or embedded content.

To the maximum extent permitted by Ugandan law, WLU shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or any services provided through it.

7. Third-party links and services

This website may contain links to third-party websites, payment platforms, or external services. These links are provided for your convenience only. WLU does not endorse, control, or take responsibility for:

Clicking external links is entirely at your own risk. We encourage you to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party site before using their services.

8. Changes to these terms

WLU may update these Terms from time to time as our services, programmes, or legal obligations evolve. When changes are made, we will:

  • Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
  • Notify registered members of material changes via the member portal or email, where practicable.

Your continued use of the website or member portal after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically. If you do not agree to any revised Terms, you should discontinue use of the website and contact us to discuss your membership status.

9. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda, including applicable provisions of the Computer Misuse Act, the Electronic Transactions Act, and the Data Protection and Privacy Act of Uganda.

Any disputes arising from your use of this website, your membership with WLU, or the interpretation of these Terms shall be resolved first through good-faith negotiation between the parties. If a negotiated resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, the matter shall be referred to:

  • Mediation by a mutually agreed mediator registered in Uganda; or
  • The competent courts of Uganda, which shall have exclusive jurisdiction over all disputes under these Terms.

Nothing in this section limits WLU's right to seek urgent injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
